Week 23 - Dec 3, 2018

I have been told by numerous people that my emails havent been sending. I hope thats false but if its true I am so sorry hahah:)

Well. The work is moving forward. We finally got a stake here in laredo. We had President Torres come to laredo to help set everything up along with two 70's - Elder Mackay and Elder Villareal. Elder mackay has visited the mission before and that dude does not speak a single ounce of spanish. As he was bearing his testimony to our congregation, he told the translator to stop talking, as he knew that the lord would have it that everyone would "hear the gospel in their own tongue" just as the scriptures say. Then all of the sudden, Elder Mackay just goes off for like 10 minutes speaking in spanish. My jaw dropped I was like ohhhh my goodness. It wasnt just like spanish It was like good spanish. I was sooo confused but i was like this is a man of god. The work is good! We had the opportunity to help valeria be baptized which was awesome:) We have also found a few different people that are super awesome. One of them being a guy named maxmiliano. Maxmiliano has had a crazy past and we were just walking in the street and we could see him just like kind of looking at us. I asked if we could show him a video. After the video was over he just looked up and he was bawling. He then said, "Who are you" and we continued to explain that we were missionaries from the church of jesus Christ. He then told us that he was going through some crazy things in his life and was asking God to show him a sign. It was super cool. We have taught him 3 lessons and He came to church on sunday. He invited his mom to come from Monterrey to church with us. This was probably Max's first time in church but his mom was just sitting there next to him crying the entire meeting. It was super cool to see how the gospel brings so much love and hope to the people who need it. The mission is a grind and a half but its honestly so amazing when you get to see things like this. Other than that my comp and I elder Benjamin have been getting along. I am going to put in one picture but other than that I think thats what the problem is with why the emails arent working. So much happens out here I wish i could tell it all but the only thing I can say is if you are younger than me and have the opportunity to go on a mission, GO ON A MISSION! The lord needs everyone he possibly can have out here in the field.  Obviously it isnt for everyone but if you want to experience it for real, theres only one way to know :) I turn 20 on saturday. LIfe is crazy out here. Love you guys so much and stay good!
