Alright! well, another week down. Hit 5 months on the
mission today.
This week we had the opportunity to help Valeria along the path to eternal life as she was baptized! It was a good time. We have found some cool people here this last week. One lady we found is named Mary. She worships something called the santÃsima muerte or "holy death" in English and we met her and she was so interested in what we talk about. The holy death isn't like worshiping the devil it's like something else but it's a little different. It's basically like worshipping people who have already passed on and asking them to protect you throughout life from dying at an early age. We told her she could be married to. Her husband and be with her family forever and she loved it. When we pulled out some pamphlets she literally was like bouncing up and down and like clapping her hands. She was so excited. Her husband is catholic and he was super interested too - along with their son. It was pretty interesting but awesome. I've never seen someone so Excited about the pamphlets. Everyone should be like her honestly considering how awesome the gospel is though so it's good to see people like her. I thought I knew some Spanish until we met a drunk guy who was saying some craaaazy things to us and I couldn't understand like 60 percent of what he was saying. My new opinion is you don't know Spanish until you can understand a drunk. Being on a mission has made me realize how breaking the word of wisdom is just honestly not super cool. Seeing drunk and high people all the time just makes you realize what they're doing is so worthless. I kind of had my first real Bible bash with someone this week and that was pretty interesting too but it's honestly just a waste of time. We also had a pie eating competition and my Comp and I obviously won. Good times.

Life's good. It's a grind and a half but it's good. Piece of
advice I've learned is just enjoy the little things for sure - no matter your
circumstance.
I miss you guys!
