This week was super good. We set a baptismal date with one
of our long time investigators named Valeria! She is getting married on the 2nd
of November and Baptized on the third! Everyone keep her in your prayers if you
guys want:)! The Mission president came down to laredo to do interviews for
this transfer and he is just the coooolest guy. Talking to people like him just
strengthens my testimony. My mission president is from Honduras and He got
drafted and selected to play soccer for Honduras in the Olympics and he decided
to go on a mission instead. He is so strong spiritually it's insane. I'm sad
I'm only going to have him for a year because he's great. Something that has
been on my mind is about church. A lot of people think that church and life is
hard. Guess what? You're right. We can be happy but it's going to be hard at
times! We came here to learn. We came here to be more like god - and sometimes
I think we forget that it's not easy! We need to keep learning and working
hard, but something I have learned out here is literally WE CAN NOT SURVIVE
unless we enjoy the ride! It's literally impossible. At first, my mission was
honestly really hard and I could never see the light at the end of the tunnel.
A mission is 2 years! So, instead, when it seems like theres no light at the
end of the tunnel, maybe we need to change our mindset and bring the light TO
the tunnel! The journey is long and at times discouraging but make the best of
it - and make it enjoyable!
