Week 13 - Sept 24, 2018

So, Jesus and Cynthia got dunked in the font of Baptism with some authority this last weekend:)! I was able to baptize them which was awesome! We were so blessed to have met them and to have god put them in our path. I wish I could send all of the pictures and videos I took this week. Too many funny things happened. Elder Rogers, Elder Allen, and I are good friends in our zone. I think we will all be friends when we get back. A member bought us a massive box of McDonald's. Elder Allen was carrying it and the bottom broke out. Missionaries don't have time to waste, so we just sat down on the floor in a circle and ate all the fries and nuggets that were all over the floor. We were literally dying so hard.

"God's love for you is there whether or not you feel you deserve love. It is simply always there." - Thomas S. Monson

To be honest, a lot of this week was a real hard grind. We had 32 return appointments that fell through this week. Its really hard when you ride a bike 30-45 minutes for one lesson that seems promising and they arent even there. That quote helped me a lot! Sometimes, we get too focused on things that are important, but to be honest, there is no need to worry! Take a step back, take a deep breath, and realize that everything is flipping awesome! God loves us. It's that simple. It's all going to be okay!Discouragement is always from satan. When you get that mentality out of your head and in your actions, you make empty space for God to fill it with better things!

We got super lucky and God was able to fill that empty space with a girl we met named Carmen! She has a baptismal date for October 13th and we can't wait to continue to teach her. We taught her the word of wisdom and she agreed with all of It! She was like, "this all makes sense"..

After we set the baptismal date, a member invited us over for some carne asada. Every weekend the people here grill like crazy and just cook like 10 different kinds of meat and just have tons of tortillas and salsas and everything and just have a soccer game on or some ozuna or something like that on. It's so awesome.

I want to give a special shoutout to the kelly family for the awesome letter - i needed it! And Adal Morales - my boi! I love you bro and let's get it together even though we're on opposite sides of the world. Thank you for the letter bro!!! I got chills reading it. This is where we belong!
